HAZARD AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Risk Assessment

  • Risks are to be systematically assessed by undertaking a risk assessment (i.e. Critical Risk Assessment Workshop [CRAW], Safe Work Method Statement [SWMS], Job Hazard Analysis [JHA], Take-5).

  • ​All identified hazards and risks are recorded in the relevant Site / Project specific Risk Register.

  • IES rates the risks of workplace hazards using the Risk Matrix (IES-BS-IMS-SWI309).

  • As a minimum all work is required to be risk assessed using a personal situational risk assessment (e.g. Take-5).

  • This Matrix ensures the consequence of hazards, the likelihood they will occur and the overall risk rating to prioritise control is determined consistently.
